Sketching Away

I had to do a few revisions on a client's piece of art this weekend after I sent them the initial pencil sketches. The way I drew the batter swinging was asked to be changed a bit so I ended up sketching in a new pose to the right of original sketch.

I got a good idea of the sketch but I ended up sketching away so much in blue pencil that I had to transfer this piece onto a new piece of paper and keep working. Which is good because I ended up shortening his torso a bit in the finished piece so I corrected the proportions when I traced him.

But, I thought this would be an interesting thing to see right in the middle of the process. It's not pretty, but it gets the job done!
