Pieces of Hockey

Here is a photo of some inking I got done today for a piece featuring a hockey player.

Because the finished piece will show the various movements a player goes through when he shoots the hockey puck I thought it might be easier to do the player in pieces and put him all together in the computer.

It seems like a good idea now but I'm sure I'll be scratching my head in a bit when I actually try to do it and make it look good. But, I am hopeful. I put him together in the pencil sketch stage and it came out well. Here's hoping the inked and colored pieces go together just as easily.

And, the web site I am working on took a few more steps tonight in the right direction. It's still a mess, has a hodge podge of bad illustrations and stolen code, but I think the basic skeleton of the site is sound and I can now begin designing the fun stuff. One more step towards getting this thing finished and launched.

So, a good night overall! Have a good one!

I might have to try that after I get him all done. We'll see if I can find enough time. But, it is a good idea!
